
AcritoxInstaller is an application to install a LiveCD (Kanotix, sidux, ...) to your system. It comes with a KDE/Qt/C++ frontend and a bash backend. AcritoxInstaller intends to replace/ extend the following applications:
knxinstaller, a KDE/Qt/C++ frontend for knx-installer (written by Andreas Loibl)
knx-installer, the Knoppix/ Kanotix installer (used in Kanotix until 2007-01)
the Kanotix update-installation script (written by Andreas Loibl, part of knxinstaller)
AcritoxInstaller offers the following features:
LVM support
dmraid support
cryptdisks (cryptsetup, crypttab, ...) supported
automatic partitioning (including ntfsresize-support)
installation to USB-HDDs supported
update-installation of existing installations
user-friendly interface
direct two-way communication with the backend (frontend is not communicating through a config-file as this was done in knxinstaller)
